About RetroNotes
RetroNotes is an offline-first notes app with a retro three-column interface. It lets users write, organize, and store notes locally as Markdown and TXT files.
RetroNotes does not require an account and is designed for local-first note taking.
Common Support Topics
1. Notes and Local Files
RetroNotes stores notes locally on your device or in a folder location selected by you.
If you cannot find your files, please check:
- The default RetroNotes folder
- The Files app
- iCloud Drive, if you chose a cloud-backed location
- Any custom folder selected in RetroNotes Pro
2. Markdown and TXT Files
RetroNotes saves notes in readable file formats such as Markdown and TXT.
This is designed to make your notes portable and accessible outside the app.
3. RetroNotes Pro
RetroNotes Pro is a one-time in-app purchase.
Pro features may include:
- Unlimited notes
- Unlimited folders
- Custom data location
- Future Pro themes and features
If you already purchased RetroNotes Pro, use the Restore Purchase option inside the app.
4. In-App Purchase Issues
In-app purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
For billing, refunds, purchase history, or payment issues, please also refer to Apple’s App Store purchase support.
5. Before Contacting Support
When contacting support, please include:
- Your device model
- Your operating system version
- Your RetroNotes app version
- A short description of the issue
- Steps to reproduce the issue, if possible
- Screenshots, if helpful
Please do not send sensitive note content unless it is necessary for troubleshooting.
